Located in Dublin’s SOBO district, directly opposite 1 Windmill Lane (1WML) contract, 1SJRQ is a 6-storey office building with retail at ground level. The building has an overall floorspace of 15,000 m2 and will be constructed to a LEED gold standard. The project includes both the construction of the new commercial building and the restoration of existing buildings and facades at No. 2 and 4-5 SJRQ. The main building entrance faces onto the riverfront at Sir John Rogerson’s Quay and is accessed through a restored tramway gate. The riverfront elevation to the new building including the curved portion will be clad with a full height floor – ceiling frameless glazing system which also includes external vertically spanning glass fins.
